About Us

House of Hope Resale was founded in 2001 and continues to grow through a network of generous donors and the tireless efforts of hundreds of volunteers.

We are the largest resale of our kind in the area and proud to be part of the northwest suburbs Resale Trail We encourage you to explore the many non-profit resale shops in the area for guilt-free shopping with a purpose.

House of Hope Resale gives year round support to St. Anne's Project Hope Ministry. Project Hope€™s mission is to provide short-term, emergency assistance to area families in crisis, regardless of faith. Our founder, Sr. Lorraine Menheer, understood that an act of kindness, given with compassion and discretion, could be a life-altering event. That such timely intervention could, in fact, restore self-sufficiency and hope.

Since 1984, tens of thousands of families have received assistance through the efforts of volunteers, donors and kind supporters like you!

Sr. Lorraine said it best:

Every effort makes a difference. Every kindness builds hope.
