DONATE FOR A CAUSE

The House of Hope accepts gently used vintage and new items. The proceeds from all sales help to fund all of the families in crisis programs through Hope Ministries of St. Anne's of Barrington.  


Our mission is to provide emergency assistance to those individuals and families in our area facing crisis.

The House of Hope offers free pickup service for furniture donations through our

exclusive partnership with Blk Out Transport.   Follow the steps below to get started!

 Our pickup service is offered

Monday through Friday


Pick-up windows:

10 AM to 1 PM  and  1 PM to 4 PM


Our service is not offered on the weekends. Pickups are for furniture only.

 We do require photos of all items for donation as part of our pre-approval process.

It's a quick and simple process!


Keep in mind, our drivers have 

final right-of-refusal once on site.

 We realize that some of our donors are under a time-constraint. Perhaps you're moving?

We understand and will always try to accommodate your pick-up window, however,

in consideration of others, we work on a 

first-come | first-served basis 

and timeslots fill up quickly!

 First impressions are everything!  

Items must be free of rips, tears, stains, 

overwear or fading, pet hair and smoke. 

Gently used is the principle.

We generally require at least 3-4 pieces of furniture for pickup consideration. 

But don't be afraid to ask!

 All proceeds from donations help to fund the food pantry and families in crisis programs through Project Hope Ministries at St. Anne's of Barrington. This includes feeding over 500 families each month through just one of our programs!

Prior to pickup items should be: 

*readily available without obstruction

*on the ground floor or garage

*Fragile items should be wrapped carefully

(i.e., glass shelving, etc.)

*items should be disassembled prior to pickup


Drivers have final right-of-refusal once on-site

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS


  1. Take photos (you will need those in step two).
  2. Complete the House of Hope Donation Form. 
  3. Click the SUBMIT button.
  4. Once we receive your inquiry, we will email or text you a link to upload your photos.


Your information will be forwarded to our Review Team for pre-approval.  We will follow-up with you once a determination has been made. We appreciate you considering the House of Hope!


PLEASE NOTE:

This form can be completed through your mobile device,

however it works best when you are on WI-FI when 

uploading photos to the Dropbox.

Additional Info

We do not accept large appliances or electronics, like televisions.

We are not currently accepting entertainment centers, or armoires that double as TV cabinets.

Items that are too heavy to manage cannot be considered.
